1940 Ford Pickup - An incredibly complex Radical Custom Creation

This customer was open to customizing for comfort, room, and looks. The entire product was designed here at REB Auto.  There are literally too many changes and additions to this project to list or express the quality of the workmanship.  To name a few changes, the cab was widened by 4 inches and lengthened 8 inches.  The result of this seemingly minor change means that, not only is there the design, fabrication, and work put into that, but it also effects the entire design and shape of the vehicle.  The entire roof, the windshield post and pillars, all had to be handmade out of metal.  The rain gutter was removed for a different look.  The cowl vent opening was hand made, the floor was hand made to suit the new motor and frame, the back of the cab is completely hand made, and the doors are hand made to fit the new openings and rocker sills.  All body lines are round, there are no square corners on this truck.  The mirrors are hand made of metal and adjustable to adapt to the newer style of the body.
The customer requested a smaller revel line when making the cab, and as a result the front fenders had to be modified to fit the new look and tires.  Alterations were made for the hood to fit by lengthening, and there was a request to have no chrome on the front end.

This truck involved a great many hours of design and metal forming, but  as you can see from the photos, the results are clear and the fit and finish is better than factory.
